Where Journeys Meet
Former LQAF Scholarship recipient Cornia Gamma's short documentary WHERE JOURNEYS MEET received the Wildlife Award at the San Francisco Film Festival, March 8-11, 2012. WHERE JOURNEYS MEET is a non-narrative, visual essay on the magnificent landscape of Antarctica. The film observes the rich and diverse life of the Southern Hemisphere, traveling from the Falklands, to South Georgia Island and ending its Journey at an Emperor Penguin colony. http://www.greensphereproductions.com/WhereJourneys/Journeys.html
Scholarship Retrospective:Corina Gamma
Corina Gamma UC Riverside (1996), BA, Fine Art Claremont Graduate University (1998), MFA, Fine Art Born and raised in Switzerland, Corina lives in Los Angeles and has worked six years for the Stepehen Cohen Gallery organizing art and photography fairs. Additionally, she has taught photography classes at Long Beach City College the past three years, taking the last semester off to pursue a film documentary project in Greenland entitled “Warm Greetings.” Using photography and video as her main media, Corina has amassed an extensive record of accomplishments involving exhibitions, film projects, publications, and artist residencies on her resume—some of which are listed below. Scholarship Retrospective: Victoria Lopez
Victoria (Vicky) Lopez Otis College of Art & Design, BA, Communication Design Victoria (Vicky) Lopez lives and works in Palm Desert – and she is a busy girl. Lopez serves as Marketing Coordinator for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, as well as heading her own design firm Kikiworks.
