It began 6 seasons ago, with only 20 artists, but a good deal of hope and expectation. Six years later, expectations have been met and exceeded as La Quinta Arts Foundation (LQAF) presents its season-opening “Art Under the Umbrellas” October 11th, 10am-4pm in the quaint setting of Old Town La Quinta.

This popular outdoor event, adjacent to charming shops, galleries and restaurants, presents the work of more than 60 artists from California, Arizona and beyond, with an opportunity for the public to enjoy art treasures, live music, boutique shopping, and dining.

LQAF Executive Director, Christi Salamone, couldn’t be happier with the growth and popularity of the series. “It’s all about the quality of the art and artists, the beauty of the locale, and the continued interest of our patrons, Each season we see new artists involved, more and more people attending, and more art sold. It’s very gratifying!”

Art Under the Umbrellas is conveniently located at Old Town La Quinta, just off Washington and Calle Tampico. Free parking. Free admission.
