Sallé Kirby, a several year recipient of LQAF Visual Arts Scholarship, was recently featured in The Standard Magazine and in CV Weekly. Monica Morones for the CV Weekly writes “When she speaks about art you can tell it flows through every fiber of her being. Her pieces are evocative; some having political and social issues and some more personal, always with her bright abstract touch.”
Sallé is a painter, print maker and photographer. Her work is an explosive layering of vibrant, bold, intense color. Portraits, human figures and nature are her muse of inspiration while working with paint mediums of acrylic, watercolor, oil and oil pastels.
She has shown her work at Michael H.Lord Gallery in Palm Springs; the J. Willott Gallery on El Paseo, the Mark H. Arts Center in Palm Desert and at Venus Studio Gallery in Palm Desert, Ca.
