La Quinta Arts Foundation is the beneficiary of $5,000 at Henry’s Farmers Market Grand Opening Block Party!
The Grand Opening of Henry’s Farmers Market in La Quinta on Tuesday evening, November 7th proved a smashing success for attendees and participants alike.

But La Quinta Arts Foundation came away the big winner – receiving $5,000 due to the amazing culinary talents of Celebrity Chef Chris Swenson of La Quinta Resort’s Twenty6 restaurant.

Chef Swenson was designated by random drawing to represent La Quinta Arts Foundation in the FRESH CHEF SHOWDOWN, a cooking competition with fellow La Quinta chefs, Ulrich Ludwig of Uli’s Bistro, and Steve Quinones of Hog’s Breath Inn. Chef Swenson ultimately took First Place honors as deemed by a panel of local media celebrities.

In addition to the Grand Prize winnings, La Quinta Arts Foundation also earned $150 from the Silent Auction in which Henry’s Market donated a gift basket for each of the three designated charities: LQAF, FIND Food Bank, and Desert Cancer Foundation.

La Quinta Arts Foundation thanks Henry’s Farmers Market for their extraordinary generosity, and we encourage all of our supporters to join us in welcoming this wonderful new store to La Quinta!
