Adam Neeley, award-winning jewelry designer who shines bright at La Quinta Arts Festival, won another award this summer!
At their AGTA Spectrum Awards 2017, the American Gem Trade Association recognized Adam Neeley with the honor of First Place: Business / Day Wear Category for his pendant, entitled Cosmos. This striking design features a 24.06 carat specialty-cut morganite accented with 3.14 carats total weight of diamonds, set in rose gold spiraling outward into white gold. The morganite center stone was cut by world class lapidary artist Stephen Avery.
AGTA’s Spectrum Awards are considered the world’s top colored gemstone and cultured pearl design competition. AGTA held this year’s competition in New York on August 5th – 6th. Each year, AGTA selects industry expert judges to determine winners. This year, those judges were: Arun Bohra from Arunashi; Cathy Calhoun of Calhoun Jewelers; Sherris Cottier Shank from Gemscapes; Alishan Halebian from Alishan; and Holly Wesche of Wesche Jewelers.
From his Laguna Beach studio, designer and goldsmith Adam Neeley pushes the boundaries of modern jewelry design. His award-winning jewelry is celebrated by jewelry industry authorities, collectors, and the Smithsonian Institution.
La Quinta Arts Festival art patrons love viewing his new designs each year. He shares, “La Quinta Arts Festival is one of my favorite shows. I have been coming to La Quinta Arts Festival for 8 or 9 years. I’ve won Best in Show and been awarded in my category as well. LQAF does an incredible job of promoting the show, putting on a top quality show, with excellent organization, and treating the artists so well. With the La Quinta Arts Festival’s higher quality of jury process, I enjoy viewing high caliber art in all of the mediums. It’s also great to see friends. I look forward to debuting new designs for the first time at La Quinta Arts Festival!
