La Quinta Arts Festival’s Home Host Program is little known by the public, but highly valued by the artists.

La Quinta Arts Foundation Staff carefully pairs artists with patrons who open their homes, guest houses, and casitas during “Festival Week”. Home Hosting is provided by local residents of the Coachella Valley and available to new participating artists of La Quinta Arts Festival®. “Festival Week” encompasses at least six nights when the Coachella Valley is at capacity for hotel rooms. Criteria for hosting does not require meals, however, coffee and snacks are always appreciated!

The benefits of Home Hosting are countless. Home Hosts provide emerging artists and those new to the Festival with a means to travel long distances without the added expense of a hotel stay. The program gives volunteer Hosts an up close and personal experience with professional artists and is instrumental in helping us recruit new talent. In fact, “Hospitality” is an important Festival standard! Home Host post-interviews and evaluations often bring to light an array of stories, some revealing friendships that are forged between artist and host.

This year, La Quinta Arts Festival 2019 will coincide with the first week of the BNP Paribas Open Tennis Tournament. The Coachella Valley will once again be buzzing with activity. We hope you will consider participating as a Home Host during this busy time.
