Leo Posillico is one of a handful of La Quinta Arts Festival core artists with a long-term history and investment in the event, making his contribution as an Artist Advisor invaluable on many levels.
A successful, award-winning artist for over 30 years from Santa Rosa, Calif., Leo Posillico’s work is widely recognizable through his signature brush stroke characters. He always works in series, whether it be 2D Mixed Media, Sculpture, or Acrylic Painting.
In his “Gallery” series, Leo expresses humorous and serious artworks that one would see in a gallery or museum. His “Word” series is inspired by a common saying or feeling, equaling a meaningful work of art.

Be sure to visit Leo’s website and view his newer “Bringing Some Color to the Cities” series of acrylic paintings. One of these pieces, Garden View, was recently accepted into the 15th Annual International Society of Acrylic Painters (ISAP) Open Exhibition July 12-Aug 12, 2012 at the Paso Robles Art Association (PRAA). ISAP entrants and members have a significant reputation in the art collecting community. Juror for the event is Katherine Chang Liu, a 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award winner from the Watercolor Honor Society.
